The majority of our drivers are practicing Muslims. This will have no major effect on the majority of cases, however on longer journeys, early morning journeys, or when requesting the driver purchase something before collecting you, there are certain policies/considerations you must be aware of ahead of time.

For longer journeys, or journeys taking place in the early morning (between dawn and sunrise), you driver will need to stop for a short period to offer their prayer. There are 5 daily prayers, and each one has to be done within a specific time window.

There is a lot of flexibility in terms of the timings for the 4 other prayers, but the dawn prayer has a very limited time window and must be observed after dawn and before sunrise occurs. When traveling, the noon and afternoon prayers can be combined (shortened and prayed together), and the sunset and night time ones can be combined, resulting in them being able to be performed during a normal rest stop, meaning no additional disruption to your travel.

None of these should affect your travel any more than our normal driver brakes, other than the dawn prayer, which will be compensated, at our discretion, if required.

We are also unable to provide you with anything that we are prohibited from having ourselves, as this falls into "assisting in sin". While we accept our passenger may not feel they are under the same restrictions as we are in terms of dietary rules, and we are not here to impose restrictions, from our perspective God has outlawed certain things for everyone, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. Going against that is not something we are prepared to do. We do not stop your own food (as long as it complies with our food and drinks policy) but we can not be part of providing it. The same goes with alcohol, however that is separately banned under legal licencing anyway.

Any Islamophobic attitudes will not be accepted, and is a breach of our customer conduct policy.

You can also download a free copy of the holy Quran in English, or whichever language you choose from here.

If you prefer a physical copy in English, our drivers generally have 1 or 2 spare in their vehicles for such occasions. We only ask for the price charged to us to replace them by our supplier, which is currently £3.80. We make no profit from this, and neither does our supplier. All costs their end go to printing and distribution. Any spare from this money is donated directly to a local masjid (mosque).
